What station are you tuned to?
In these days of seeming lack it does good to remind oneself that God has plenty.
If you have read my previous blogs you will know by now that God has provided an escape from the ills of this world, and I don't mean dying and going to heaven. What I mean is simply changing the thought station that you have been listening to. Change your inner broadcast from "lack, lack, lack," to "plenty, plenty, plenty".
This is not hard to do. Take a walk outside and start counting the leaves on the nearest tree. You won't count far of course before giving up and realizing that there are plenty of leaves going around. Similarly, there are plenty of blades of grass, grains of sand, and stars in the heaven. My fellow believers, God has plenty! He has plenty of everything that you need too. "I don't need grass and leaves", I hear you say, "I need love, I need peace, I need joy, I need money, I need health!" The fact is God has plenty of that too.
Leaves and blades of grass are visible to eyes while most other things we need are not but are just as real. No one has seen love, peace or joy but most have experienced them as a feeling or as a knowing or spiritual state. We can see notes of currency but in reality it is just paper. The notes represent an immediate ability to obtain things that we need to survive physically. In truth, wealth just like health, peace and joy is a spiritual state and not a physical one.
God's plenty is meant for you!
A tree is filled with God's ability to produce millions of leaves. it is written as a promise in it's genetic code.
What the tree needs is good soil, good air and regular watering. In the same way, you are filled with God's abundance written in your spiritual and mental code. Just like farmer who plants thousands of avocado trees in good soil and waters them on occasion. God calls you to be the farmer of your own inner garden.
I am reminded of Jesus's parable of the landlord who leaves someone in charge of his vineyard. He has left you in charge of your inner garden. What are you planting there? You need to be methodical and have a system of planting and watering. If you do this diligently you will have a good crop of what you sow and cultivate.
Thoughts are your seeds!
Just pick a few seeds that you want to grow. A few thoughts watered every day by repeated thinking and saying will grow into the experience that you desire. It is my friends, as simple as that.
God made it very clear in the Bible. Mark chapter 4 explains it all. Be a good farmer. Choose your thought seeds carefully and water them every day by spending time thinking and saying the thought.
Resonating with God.
Think God's peace and peace will grow like a seed in your spirit. Now most people will only say they have peace once they experience it. The Bible teaches us in Mark 11:24 to ask, believe that we have it and we will get it. God says in Joshua 1:8 to meditate on His word day and night and you will be successful. Now here is what you do. To avoid the inner conflict that may result from thinking and saying. "I have peace", when it is not your experience, simply meditate on God's peace, saying quietly to yourself, "peace", "health", "wealth",
or whatever is lacking in your experience.
Here is what I mean by resonating with God's attributes. If you pluck the lower E string on a guitar, the higher E-string will start sounding as well. This phenomenon is called resonance. If you say and meditate quietly focusing your mind on God's attributes in a daily time of meditation, the experience of that attribute will start resonating in your spirit. Try it, it works!
Pick and choose your seeds!
God is healthy, so if you want to grow healthy, think and say, "health". Do it many, many times and day and it will become your experience when it becomes a dominant thought. Remember that every thought is paired with a corresponding feeling. Keep thinking a thought until it triggers the corresponding feeling. Then, hold the feeling as long as you can. The same principle works for other thought seeds. God is wealthy, God is love, God is abundant, God is peace, God is joy, God is success, etc.
When your awareness of "wealth" becomes dominant over "lack" thinking, wealth will become your experience. The same will work for any other of God's attributes.
Persist and be patient.
Every farmer knows that he must do the basics before he can harvest his crop. Just so, you need to water your seeds by daily thinking and saying. In time you will reap a harvest. God showed Abraham the stars of heaven saying that his offspring will be as many. God has no lack of health and money, peace and joy etc.
You can have it all, fellow farmer. Just learn the trade. It is pretty easy, but so few actually do it. I pray that you be one of them. God bless!
