Married to the Master.

The puzzle
For years now I have grappled with scripture seeking an understanding of why believers who follow Jesus suffer lack in a world of plenty.
The simple answer can be found in Matt. 9:29 "According to your faith let it be done unto you." In a nutshell, you will have lack if you expect lack.
Recently, I had an amazing revelation about the nature of our relationship to the Lord in the area of receiving all we need in this life. If you grasp these truths and adjust your thinking and beliefs, you really never have to lack again. Let me share them with you in a series of steps. Some may seem like old hat but putting them all together may just be the faith transfusion that you need to turn your lack into plenty. This could be your passport to a garden of Eden, living again as Adam did before the fall of man, free from  material and spiritual want!
Examine the logic. Ponder the statements carefully and you could end up harvest incredible results! The steps are designed to convince you of scriptural accuracy and help you build the faith or expectation you will require see the changes you long for.

Step 1. God owns it all
The Bible is clear about the fact that God created everything and owns it all.
"The silver is mine and the gold is mine, declares the Lord Almighty" Haggai 2:8.
"Every animal of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills...for the world is mine and all that is in it." Psalm 50:10-12.
Establish God's ownership of all goods, money, houses etc etc clearly in your mind. He owns the house you live in, not you, not the landlord or the bank even if they show you their title deed. God owns the money you receive and use, not your boss, not your client and not your trust fund, Baby!

Step 2. From God's perspective
Here lies a very important departure from natural or the world's "truth" to God's TRUTH.
For these concepts to work you need to get the revelation and start to see all things as belonging to the Lord. Of course, the world will dispute this and beat you down in court, but you are taking the important step of seeing things from God's perspective, not from that of the world or from what you have been accustomed to.
1 Cor. 2:14 "A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit because they are foolishness to him because they are spiritually appraised"
1 Cor. 1:25 "The "foolishness" of God is wiser than human wisdom."
1 Cor 3:19 "This worlds wisdom is foolishness (absurdity and stupidity) with God."
If you consider it foolish or impractical, then you are what the Bible calls a carnal man.

Step 3. God's to give
Logically speaking, you can only give something to someone else if you own it in the first place. From God's perspective, only He as the true owner may give anything to anyone because He owns everything. Even the land within the borders of a country that the people consider their own may change when the Lord decides to change it!

Step 4. Your wedding gifts!
The church is the bride of Christ. By church God means those of you who believe and are born again.
Rev. 19:7 Let us rejoice and be glad...for the wedding of the Lamb (Jesus) has come and the bride has made herself ready."
As a believer, you are married to Jesus. From His perspective He is married to you in community of property! He can and does therefore say, "All I have is yours and all you have is mine" John 17:10
Because He is the creator and owner and source of everything, He is free to and actually does, pass co-ownership of every thing to you! Now here is where it get difficult for the natural man.
Jesus cares for you. (1 Pet. 5:7 "Cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you.")
Jesus shares His love with you.
Jesus shares His mind with you. (1 Cor. 2:16 "We have the mind of Christ.")
Jesus shares His ability with you. (Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me")
Jesus shares His righteousness with you. (1 Cor 1:30 "Christ has become our righteosness")
Jesus shares His wealth with you, his health with you, His creativity with you etc. etc.
If you grasp this and it becomes the way you think, creative miracles could follow.
His peace and joy will flood your mind, His health will flood your body, His wealth will stream into your coffers and even missing limbs can grow into place! Again, follow the logic and agree with God's word and expect it to start happening!

Step 5. Receiving the increase
Say you married an extremely wealthy person who shares everything equally with you, you would expect a dramatic increase in your bank balance. As a child of God you are married to Jesus. God is a Spirit but he created and owns all the material things there are. Am I being materialistic? No, Was God being materialistic when He made material things? He wants to share both spiritual and material ownership with you!. He does not lack anything and desires to share all He has, if only you will believe it and receive it!
Psalm 34:10 "Those who fear the Lord will not lack any good thing"
I believe that God means exactly what He says even if it does not suit religious thinking and philosophy.
Remember, you don't have to chase anything, just change your understanding, expect it and it will chase you down. Being married to Jesus changes everything!

Come up here, all I have is yours!
